Lover's Knot/ Solomon's Knot Barefoot Sandals Tutorial Free Pattern

You can make this barefoot sandals by using any type of lace thread. I love this design and I worked barefoot sandals with this. This stitch is much easier to learn when you have pictures to see what loop(s) they're talking about. Enjoy!

Supplies:
Cotton lace thread size: 50  (app: 10-15g)
hook : 1.25mm

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
Lover’s knot= Knot

LEVEL: Intermediate


Row 1: Start with a slip knot on your hook. Thread over the hook as you make a chain 10mm length. This image shows the complete knot stitch after the ch.

Row 2: Turn, sc 15 into the two front threads. (as the photos)  work 2 Lovers knots, making the loops about 5mm and work 1 Lovers knot, making the loops about 10mm. sc, the first starting of sc point. Ch 30,

Row 3: Turn, sc into first sc.

sc15 into the two front threads. Work 2 Lovers knots, making the loops about 5mm.


sc into the top of the center stitch of the Lovers knots  previous row.

 

work 2 Lovers knots, making the loops about 5mm and work 1 Lovers knot, making
the loops about 10mm. *skip the next lk* sc, in the next sc.

After this, I will tell short knot and long knot for sizes.

Row 4: Turn. sc15, into the two front threads of knot.                                                                                    

Work 2 short knots . sc into the next two front threads of  knot. *skip the center sp* sc into the next two 

front threads of knot.

  Repeat one more time. Work 2 short knots and 1 long knot. *skip the next lk*  sc, into the next sc.

Row 5: Turn, sc 15, into the two front threads of knot. Work 2 short knots . sc into the next two front threads of  knot. *skip the center sp* sc into the next two  front threads of knot.  Continue in this work 2 more times.

Work 2 short knots and 1 long knot. *skip the next lk*  sc, into the next sc.   

Row 6: Turn,  sc 15, in the two front threads of knots. Work 2 short  knots .  sc in the next two front threads of  knot. *skip the center sp* sc into the next two  front threads of knot. Repeat one more time. Work 2 long knots .  sc in the next two front threads of  knot. *skip the center sp* sc into the next two  front threads of knot.  sc in the next two front threads of  knot. *skip the center sp* sc into the next two  front threads of knot. Work 2 short  knots  and work 1 long  knot .  *skip the next lk*  sc, into the next sc.
